1. What is WorldSkills International competition?
WorldSkills International is the largest skill competition in the world, organised once every two years in one of the member countries. More than 1000 contestants below the age of 23, compete for gold, silver and bronze medals, in over 46 skills. The competition is held over a span of four days.

2. What is WorldSkills India?
WorldSkills India is an initiative of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship which has been leading India’s participation at WorldSkills International competitions since 2011. NSDC led a delegation of 24 candidates who participated in 22 skills at the WorldSkills competition in Leipzig, Germany in 2013. India won 3 medallions of excellence at the competition, in graphic design technology, IT software solution for business and jewellery designing. The next edition of the competition will be organized at Sao Paulo, Brazil in August 2015.

3. Who can participate for Worldskills Competition 2015?
Any skilled person born on or after 1st January 1993 could participate in any of the skills mentioned below, with the exception to Aircraft Maintenance, Manufacturing Team Challenge and Mechatronics, where the candidate should have been born on or after 1st January 1990.

4. What is the selection process and How to Participate?
NSDC follows a 3 tier selection process, i.e. regional, national and final selection. The winners from the regional competitions will participate at the national competition, where two candidates will be selected in each category. These candidates will undergo training for 5-6 months, before they compete at the final competition sometime early 2015. The winner at the final competition will represent India at the WorldSkills International competition in Sau Paolo, Brazil in August 2015.
