IndiaSkills Competition is the flagship initiative of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, implemented by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to promote and recognize excellence in vocational skills.
The Competition is designed to demonstrate the highest standards of skilling and offers a platform for young people to showcase their talent at the national level which then makes them eligible for participation in the WorldSkills competition held at a global stage in a different country every two years.
The IndiaSkills Competition—regional and national—is held every two years with the support of State Governments, Industry, Sector Skill Councils (SSCs), State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs), Corporates, and Partner institutes. IndiaSkills Competition has the potential to reach the grassroots level and make an impact.
This edition of the Competition witnessed participation from over 650 competitors representing all 34 States and Union Territories, competing across 63 skills.
